"The Economy is Hurting Us All"

It's no surprise that the economy has taken a downward spiral and many are struggling financially as well as emotionally. The unemployment rate is steady rising. People are losing their homes, cars and livelihood. And as a result, morals and values are going out the window. I've heard so many unbelievable stories and decided to share some with you.

1. Seniors are prostituting. First of all, how? Are they walking up and down the street soliciting their bodies? What are they wearing? Clothing that reveals their cleavage and boobies? I mean, really...and who has the nerve to buy sex from a senior citizen? This was the most shocking story I heard!

2. A guy was pulled over by a group of policemen. They searched him and found a bag of weed (marijuana). They stepped away from the guy, formed a huddle then came back and asked "Is this all you have? Where is the rest of it?" The guy replied, "That's all I have. The economy is hurting us all." The police kept the bag and let him go. What did they do with the weed?

3. On the news we see ATMs being robbed at gas stations, grocery stores, wherever...ordinary people are also getting their pockets patted by robbers with guns. It was reported that a neighborhood in DC consisted of young males who would walk up to residents as they exit their cars to enter their homes and rob them...in broad daylight, with no masks.
This is bad but not as disturbing as it is to hear about adults stealing government funding from children & youth and robbing them of their development and growth.

Times are extremely hard and is causing people to react recklessly.

But it doesn't have to be so bad. Yes, even with a tumbling economy, there is still peace on this earth. Bishop Long said if you say something seven times, it becomes a part of you...it becomes a part of your soul.

So being the believer that I am, I cried to the Lord seven times saying "This too shall pass! This too shall pass! This too shall pass! This too shall pass! This too shall pass! This too shall pass! This too shall pass!" And sure enough, that mountain (problem) that I was facing, passed.

Believe in something or fall for anything. I choose Jesus Christ...I may have failed several times, but I've never been failed yet! These economic hardships too shall pass!
