A True Investment

My first time meeting this guy, I was able to hear the dialogue between him and his 5 year old daughter. It went a little something like this:

Dad's cell phone rings

Dad: Hello
Daughter: Daddy...I need you to come back around here
Dad: I'm gone and I'm not coming back around there
Daughter: But I need you to bring me some money...the ice cream truck is around here and I'm broke, my mother is broke, my uncle is broke...
Dad: Am I broke?
Daughter: No daddy, you're not broke...that's why I need you to come back
Dad: But I am broke...I just took you shopping; just paid $1000 for your tennis camp and $600 for regular camp
Daughter...but...daddy...you bought them clothes for the summer. What is this...what is this...these people laughing at me daddy...I'm broke, my mother is broke, my uncle is broke...I need you to come back
Daddy: Hey listen, them people laughing ain't about nothing...*daughter in the background, y*all can laugh all you want*...whose truck is it?
Daughter says the name of the ice cream truck owner/driver
Dad: go get whatever you want...
Daughter hangs up the phone

Dad says, "You know what she told me...she said 'daddy, when
you get old, you are not going to one of them old folks home...I'ma take
good care of you'
so she can have whatever she like. I'm going to invest
in her so she can return it when she makes it."
